Childhood Moment

Warm sunshine, purple buddleia flowers, and colourful butterflies.
Monday afternoon, as I ate my lunch, I was surrounded by Red Admiral and Peacock butterflies, all feasting on nectar rich buddleia. It was a sight that transported me back to the garden of the house where I lived when a young child. We had a shed at the end of the garden which was converted into a play house for me, and in my memory, atleast one side of this was almost totally enclosed by a huge buddleia bush. This was always covered in butterflies, creatures I found endlessly fascinating as they pottered around on the flowers and fluttered about above my head. These days they are more at eye level and I couldn't resist taking a few photos.
